Something worth sharing.

Note: I never share an opinion, intellectual understanding, or judgment about what I deem right or wrong. My posts come from my experiences, but they are translated into words – and therefore, they are not real. Nothing you read will ever be real for you until you experience it yourself. Until then, it remains a mind-created story.
That said, even mind-created stories can help us remember, trigger intuition, and lead us back to the present moment.
Right now, I’m pretty sick with the flu. Because I live alone, at times like this the human body naturally seeks shelter and connection… and so I longed for my wife more than usual. I always feel her keeping a certain distance, except when I truly need her.
This morning, I was quite clear and thanked her for keeping that distance – because I can only grow out of my mind if she doesn’t always come close when I ask her to. Otherwise, it would only fix the issue temporarily. Because who feels alone, who seeks connection, who is afraid, who creates stories? Of course – it’s the mind. And therefore, it’s not real. Feeding the mind with what it wants only fuels it.
So I felt gratitude for the chance to grow out of my own stories and sat down to meditate. I didn’t expect much, being as sick as I am. But this time, I felt like a cup filled with love – unable to hold it, overflowing. Tears, gratitude, connection, love – all the things I longed for, but now understood that they are not to be found within the mind’s worry.
From my point of view, we have the powerful possibility to grow beyond the mind – which is extraordinary. Even having this possibility fills me with gratitude.
I hope this story inspires someone – but even if not, I’m thankful to be able to share it and experience it.
